Big Day of Giving 2022

With your help, we'll be able to reach our goal of $50,000 !

Your generous donations will help Joshua’s House fulfill its mission of providing compassionate, end-of-life care to Sacramento’s terminally ill homeless people. Early giving starts April 21 – all donations between then and May 5th will count towards our Big Day of Giving goal!

Hero for the Homeless: Christine Brennan

Christine leads by example in her role as a Joshua’s House Hospice Board Member and weekend volunteer at Loaves & Fishes in downtown Sacramento. She shares a heartfelt connection to our mission and looks forward to the day that we open to serve those individuals who need shelter and compassion as they near their end of life. Christine hopes that you will join her in donating on Big Day of Giving, May 6th.

Hero for the Homeless:
Angie Strawn

Angie is a career registered nurse and supporter of Joshua’s House Hospice. She understands the need for providing hospice services to the increasing numbers of terminally ill homeless individuals. In this video she talks about the well-rounded care that each resident will receive when we open our facility and why our opening is so important to our community.

Please take a look, learn more, and consider donating on May 6th, Big Day of Giving. Thank you to Salgu Wissmath for filming the video.

Sister Libby Fernandez is a Hero for the Homeless!

She and other Mercy Pedalers take to the streets of Sacramento on their bicycles (and tricycles) daily to share warm beverages, snacks, and human kindness with those experiencing homelessness. Her caring nature and sincere concern for our brothers and sisters in need inspires us to no end and we are proud to have her as a member of the Joshua’s House Hospice Community Advisory Committee.

Many thanks to Ted Fong for producing the video.
